Travel policy
No surprises on the invoice.
Anywhere inside the four belts above, travel is already in the $500 and $1,000 fee. Outside them, we quote the travel as a separate line before you commit — usually a high-speed rail ticket and one night, not a flight.
If the travel cost would make the job uneconomic for you, we will say so rather than quietly absorb it into a bigger number. A $500 visit that requires $400 of travel is a bad deal for both of us, and we would rather tell you that.
What we cannot cover
- Addresses outside mainland China, including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
- Factories that require an appointment weeks in advance — we can do announced visits, but the lead time is yours to manage
- Sites that require safety certification or PPE we cannot obtain
- Any visit where the supplier has already refused access in writing
